In Problem Picnic, each player takes control of an ant colony competing for the food on picnic blankets. Each player has a set of six custom dice in three different sizes which represent their Ant workers, scouts and soldiers. The main mechanic of the game is throwing the ant dice on the playing area with the goal of landing them on a food card. After all players throw their dice, they will check each food card and the player with the most ants on that card will take the food into his colony. Of course, the queen has some preferences regarding the food, which her loyal subjects have to fulfill. Finally, because anything may happen in a picnic, five “Round Cards” will show up in every game in order to help the trailing player.

Problem Picnic takes an important and familiar family event and makes it a fun dexterity game for everyone to play. It is easy to teach and seems fun to play, a great match for a family game.
