DOOM: The Board Game is coming out from Fantasy Flight Games! This is a tactical combat game for 2 to 5 players based on Bethesda’s blockbuster video game, DOOM. Play as elite marines or take control of the legions of demons and prepare yourselves for a fierce battle!

One player takes on the invader role, commanding the legions of Hell in an attempt to terminate the marines. You will be able to summon hordes of demons from portals scattered across the map. The threat cards and the invasion cards that you will have available will determine the movement of the demons and which type of them you may summon.

On the other hand, there is a cooperative team of up to four marines, each one with different strengths, abilities and strategies. Players are provided with class cards from the beginning of a mission and their marines get their unique skills. As they pursue their mission’s objective, they will have opportunities to expand their arsenal with pickup items, as well as find health packs to recover health.

DOOM includes two operations of six missions each for the invader and marines to battle through. Every mission takes place on a unique map and presents a different set of objectives and threat levels. The objective cards of each mission describe the victory conditions for both the team of marines and the invader. The marines’ objectives can vary from securing the battle area to collecting valuable assets, while the invader has just one goal, to kill the marines…

DOOM, also, includes custom dice, double-sided map tiles and plastic miniatures representing the four marines and the demons.

Bring the experience of the video game to your table with DOOM: The Board Game and pick your role!

I got to know the world of board games along with NinjaBoy several years ago. So we both ended up getting hooked on playing, until we finally decided to create this website, so that boardgamers from all over the world will gather around. I am a translator and a copywriter. Making this site, as well as working on it every single day, has been a great experience and we are happy to know that it has brought together people who share the same love for board games. So, choose your character, shuffle your deck and roll your dice, for there are some board game stories here to explore!
