Ethnos – A World of Fantasy Creatures

| Your Opinion
Category: Age: 14+ 45 - 60 Min 2 - 6 Players 2017
Designers: Publishers:

You are in the land of Ethnos where twelve tribes of fantasy creatures live and each player’s goal is to gain control of the land with the help of these tribes.

There is the community marketplace in the middle of the board, the cards of which represent different tribes that live in Ethnos and in the surrounding area. The tribes might be wizards, elves, goblins, minotaurs, giants and many more. You may collect cards of the same color or cards of the same type and on your turn, you can either pick a card or play a set of cards. The thing is that every time you play a set of cards, other cards from your hand go back to the community marketplace, which means that some of them will come back into play later on.

Moreover, depending on the number and the type of cards you have collected, you can trigger different abilities, while there will be a leader card with a special ability, which may allow you to draw more cards or gain influence in different regions.

The game is played in three ages, at the end of which the player with the most glory wins!

Ethnos is a fast and easy-to-learn card game by Cool Mini Or Not. There are many options while playing and many kinds of strategies that you can develop, and the rules change slightly, depending on the number of players. It is expected to be available in 2017.

I got to know the world of board games along with NinjaBoy several years ago. So we both ended up getting hooked on playing, until we finally decided to create this website, so that boardgamers from all over the world will gather around. I am a translator and a copywriter. Making this site, as well as working on it every single day, has been a great experience and we are happy to know that it has brought together people who share the same love for board games. So, choose your character, shuffle your deck and roll your dice, for there are some board game stories here to explore!
