London Dread – Solve the Mystery on the Streets of London
London Dread is a co-operative horror game set during the Victorian era. In each game, you take the role of investigators playing through one of the four available storylines, trying to uncover plots and defeat the final antagonist.
The game is usually played over the course of two phases. The first one is a timed planning phase with real time and programming elements, challenging you to solve a puzzle-like situation in the most efficient way possible. Difficulty adjustment is available and each scenario can be played multiple times, offering a variety of different outcomes. In the end, the strength of the final antagonist depends on the overall performance of your team throughout the game.
“Arkham Horror meets Space Alert” said Josh from Grey Fox Games and that seems like a very interesting combination to me! Vastly depending on efficient communication and an immersive theme, London Dread is a game that has my full attention.
It will be available at Gen Con (Booth 2507) with a limited amount of copies (around 300) and for the rest of us it will be available during the first week of September!
