Especially if you’re new to the hobby. Personally, I always point people in the direction of Wil Wheaton’s TableTop. Not only did it help spark my interest in board gaming, I also find the show entertaining, whether l end up liking the game or not. If you’re like me, you need a little sugar, and a fair amount spice your game reviews. Table Top fits that bill. I understand the need for a basic, dry run overview, but it usually doesn’t spark my interest. Therefore, I've been eagerly anticipating TableTop season 4. I was very excited to learn, recently, that season 4 will be premiering on November 2nd via Alpha. Alpha is Legendary Digital Networks (LND) new prescription service which will feature content from The Nerdist and Geek and Sundry (the YouTube channel that hosts TableTop). The site will cost $4.99 a month. Table Top will launch its first two episodes simultaneously for free on YouTube with the site launch. The rest of the episodes will then air on Alpha. YouTube will then air the rest of the episodes for free starting early next year. They can be found on the Geek & Sundry channel or a simple search should suffice. The games that will be played on season 4 are as follows (but not necessarily in this order):
- Lanterns
- Fury of Dracula
- Mysterium
- Code Names (with six players for maximum funtimes)
- FATE Core RPG
- Dragon Farkle
- Flashpoint
- Harbour
- Eldritch Horror
- Star Realms
- Monarch
- Star Trek – 5 Year Mission
- Champions of Midgard
- Steam Park
- Tiny Epic Galaxies
- Welcome To The Dungeon
- Misspent Youth RPG
